耄耋老人不老心    

The Aged One Not Withering in Mind    

王礼才，是安徽省合肥市教育局退休干部，1956年入党。2014年以来，他被聘为社区群众监督员和城管议事委员，发挥余热，忠于职守，常年协助社区维护社会治安，为广大居民热情服务。  

Wang Licai, a retired cadre of the Education Bureau in Hefei, East China’s Anhui Province, joined the Party in 1956. Since 2014, he has been hired as a community supervisor and a member of the urban management committee. He used his limited time to do something selfless and was devoted to his duties, assisting the community in maintaining public order and serving the residents warmly throughout the year.  

家家景园小区规模很大，辖区内分为15个住宅区，有2万居民之多。小区内还有7条商业街、700多家商户，人多车多，矛盾不少，存在一些安全隐患。  

The Jiajiajingyuan community is large, which includes 15 residential areas and accommodates 20,000 residents. Moreover, there are 7 commercial streets and more than 700 merchants in the community. It is due to numerous people and cars in the community that many contradictions emerged, leading to potential safety risks.  

优秀党员志愿者王礼才  

为此，小区建立城管议事会，聘请志愿者参与社区管理，搭建一个集“建议、参与、监督”于一体的平台。王礼才听说后，不顾年迈体弱，毛遂自荐，当上了城管议事委员。  

To this end, the community has established an urban management council, hired volunteers to participate in community management, and built a platform that integrates “suggestion, participation, and supervision”. After Wang Licai heard about it, he nominated himself without taking his age and frailty into consideration and became a member of the urban management committee.  

从此，他一有时间，就在小区里转悠，一旦发现垃圾随处丢，车辆随便停，夜市买卖吵闹声，非法占道经营等环境卫生问题，马上向社区城管反映情况，催办问题解决。  

From then on, whenever he had time, he would wander around the community. Once he found the environmental sanitation problems like garbage thrown everywhere, vehicles parked at will, noise made in night market, and illegal road occupation, he would immediately report it to the community urban management and urged them to cope with the problem.
